Anders Hejlsberg

• In 1980 began writing a Pascal compiler which was eventually licensed to Borland and became Turbo Pascal.
• In 1989 moved to California and joined Borland as Chief Engineer.
• Became chief architect for the team that created Borland Delphi.
• In 1996 joined Microsoft, and eventually became the lead architect of the team developing C#.
• Later worked on the development of TypeScript.
